Vantron VT-SOM-I500P-W Open Standard Module (OSM)
The Vantron VT-SOM-I500P-W Open Standard Module (OSM) is a compact embedded module developed for AIoT devices, edge computing, multimedia systems, and embedded applications requiring high computing performance with low power consumption. Powered by the MediaTek MT8788A processor, it combines four Arm® Cortex®-A73 cores and four Arm® Cortex®-A53 cores running at up to 2.0GHz, together with a Mali-G72 GPU and a dual-core AI accelerator operating at up to 500MHz for machine vision, deep learning, face recognition, and object recognition. The module features 4GB LPDDR4 memory and 64GB eMMC 5.1 storage as standard, with optional 2GB or 8GB memory and 32GB or 128GB storage. Measuring 47 × 47 × 3.15 mm, the compact LGA package enables straightforward integration into embedded designs. It supports Android 10+.
Unlike the VT-SOM-I500P, the VT-SOM-I500P-W does not support cellular network communication because the LTE chipset is not implemented. It retains integrated Wi-Fi (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac) and Bluetooth® connectivity, making it suitable for embedded applications where wireless networking is required without cellular communication. Combined with high-definition multimedia capabilities, flexible expansion, RTC support, and a compact footprint, the module is well suited for AI-enabled edge devices, industrial automation, smart displays, and embedded systems requiring reliable long-term operation.
